What This Program Is About

USDA will be purchasing directly from farmers across the country and distributing agricultural products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meat to those in need. National distribution centers will package the products into family-sized boxes, then transport them to regional distributors such as food banks and faith-based organizations.

ROLF is a regional hub that will be redistributing these fresh food boxes to local churches and groups. We will be getting shipments of these boxes on a weekly basis and are looking for local distributors who can work with their communities to provide food for those who have been significantly impacted by the pandemic.

USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program

RIVER OF LIFE FOUNDATION (ROLF) is pleased to announce another round of partnership with the USDA in distributing Farmers to Families Fresh Food Boxes. Since its inception in May of 2020, this program has distributed over 15 million boxes of fresh food across the nation. My role is to continue aligning our resources to ensure we can impact and improve the quality of life of those around us.

Steps to Participate:

1. Email the completed application form to Sam Loh promptly

2. Be sure to indicate the number of boxes you are able to redistribute each week and plan accordingly for that amount. If you need to decrease or increase the number of boxes, please contact Sam Loh immediately. We will try our best to accommodate your request but no guarantee can be given.

3. To ensure you are able to transport the quantity of food you signed up for, please make the necessary arrangements for bringing adequate transportation. Each food box weighs approximately 35 pounds.

4. Please bring enough volunteers every Saturday to help you load the boxes into your vehicles. If working with large quantities, we can provide help on pickup days by loading pallets directly into your truck or container trailer.

5. We reserve food boxes for your organization based on the number you applied for and are unable to provide additional boxes on your pickup day.

6. If you are unable to make a pickup day, please let Sam Loh as soon as possible so that ROLF can give out your allotted load to those on the waiting list.

7. Pickups must be made during our hours of operation. Late arrivals will not be accommodated.

8. We reserve the right to adjust your quantities on the day of the pickup under special circumstances. There have been instances in the past where the quantities we received in shipments were affected by shortages. ROLF has no control over the supply chain from farmers to packers. We apologize in advance if this is to happen again.
