With over 500 active volunteers, ROLF provides aid wherever it is needed most.

 
 

Food Pantry Volunteers

 

Volunteer Time:

  • Tue & Thur 9:30AM-12:30PM

    Fri 11:00AM-1:00PM

    Sun 1:00PM-4:00PM

  • First-time individual volunteers, please arrive 30 minutes early to complete the onboarding process. No pre-registration is required—simply come on-site on the day of your volunteer shift. We welcome new volunteers on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

  • Youth volunteers (ages 14-17) must have a parental permission slip to volunteer. Youths under the age of 14 WILL NOT be accepted; youths aged 14-15 must have adult accompaniment.

Tax Preparer Volunteers

 

River of Life Foundation is an IRS-certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) center that offers free tax filing services to people (or family) who make an annual income of $69,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Must pass IRS tax preparation exam

  • Commitment is Jan to April. Appx 10 hours a week

  • Able to communicate in English and Mandarin is helpful

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills

2026 - Appointments Only

  • Free Tax Service sessions will begin on Feb 1, 2026.

  • Free Tax Service sessions will END OF on Mar 29, 2026.

  • Client registration will begin on Jan 19, 2026.
