Tax Preparer Volunteers

 

River of Life Foundation is an IRS-certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) center that offers free tax filing services to people (or family) who make an annual income of $67,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Must pass IRS tax preparation exam

  • Commitment is Jan to April. Appx 10 hours a week

  • Able to communicate in English and Mandarin is helpful

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills

2025 - Walk-In Appointments Only

  • Free Tax Service sessions will begin on Feb 2, 2025.

  • Free Tax Service sessions will END OF on Mar 30, 2025.

  • Client registration will begin on Jan 21, 2025.
